Ginger Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Halved Brussels sprouts pan-seared for char, then finished with apple cider and Ginger Syrup and covered until fork-tender. A crowd-pleasing side that goes with everything from Thanksgiving turkey to a Tuesday roast chicken.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups halved Brussels sprouts
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 oz fresh apple cider
  • 1 oz Ginger Syrup
  • ⅛ tsp garlic powder
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • A few cracks of black pepper
  • Lemon wedges, to serve

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high. Add the Brussels sprouts and toss to coat.
  2. Cook for about 7 minutes, tossing every minute or so, until the sprouts start to char.
  3. Add the apple cider and Ginger Syrup, cover, and lower the heat to medium-low. Cook for about 7 minutes, or until the sprouts are fork-tender and the liquid has cooked off.
  4. Uncover, sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and toss to coat.
  5. Serve with lemon wedges.
