Vanilla Spice Rooibos Waffles

I’ve never met a Belgian Waffle that I didn’t like, and this one’s no exception. Make it GF/DF and add some Vanilla Spice Rooibos Syrup-!

PREP: 5 MINS   //   YIELD: 1 Cocktail
1 1/2 c @bobsredmill GF All Purpose Flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
| 1/2 tsp salt
| 1/2 tsp cinnamon
| 2 tbsp @portlandsyrups Vanilla Spiced Rooibos Syrup
| scant 3/4 c mylk
| 1 tbsp coconut oil
| 4 eggs separated
| 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Preheat your waffle iron. In a bowl, combine all of your dry ingredients and stir to combine. In a second bowl, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form (about 3-4 min). In a third bowl, whisk together remaining wet ingredients. Add the wet mixture to the first bowl with the dry ingredients and whisk to combine. With a rubber spatula, gently fold the egg whites into the batter until combined and no large bits of egg white remains. Spray waffle iron and cook according to the irons instructions. Top with desired toppings and perhaps an extra drizzle of our Vanilla Spiced Rooibos Syrup and enjoy!
This recipe was adapted from @bobsredmill “Fluffy Gluten Free Waffles” recipe which can be found here:
