Piri Piri Afternoon Cocktail

A short tequila cocktail with a slow burn. Our Rose City Tonic’s cinchona bitterness anchors peach cordial and citrus liqueur; a few drops of piri piri spice add the heat. From Keep It Crafted, who built this one for a summer New York afternoon.

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz blanco tequila
  • ½ oz citrus liqueur (we like Doc Herson’s)
  • ¾ oz peach cordial
  • ½ oz Rose City Tonic
  • 4 drops Drink Addition Piri Piri Cocktail Spice

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a mixing glass three-quarters full with ice.
  2. Stir for 20 seconds until well-chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled rocks glass over a large ice cube.
  4. Garnish with a skewered piri piri pepper and serve.
