Sarsaparilla Old Fashioned

A take on the classic Old Fashioned built around our Root Beer Syrup. The sarsaparilla, anise, and real vanilla bring velvety notes to bourbon that simple syrup never could.

Ingredients

• 1 oz Genuine Root Beer Syrup
• 2 oz bourbon of choice
• 2–3 dashes aromatic bitters
• 1 orange peel

Instructions

1. Add the Root Beer Syrup and bitters to a rocks glass and stir until just combined.
2. Fill the glass with one large ice cube or several large cubes.
3. Add the bourbon and stir gently for 15 seconds to chill.
4. Express the orange peel oil over the glass, then drop the peel in and serve.
