This is the pumpkin spice syrup that actually contains pumpkin. We make it with real pumpkin puree (a surprising amount of "pumpkin spice" doesn't), warm cinnamon, organic ginger juice, brown sugar, and a careful blend of spices — so the flavor reads as actual pumpkin pie rather than the abstract "fall vibes" version that shows up in chain coffee shops every September.

Stir an ounce into a latte and you've made a pumpkin spice latte that actually tastes like pumpkin pie. Splash it into bourbon for a Pumpkin Spice Old Fashioned. Mix it into hot apple cider for a fall mulling cocktail. Add it to oat milk and espresso for a homemade PSL that costs $1 instead of $7. Equally happy in coffee, cocktails, oatmeal, or whipped cream.

Tasting Notes: real pumpkin, warm cinnamon, ginger snap, soft brown sugar depth, classic pie spice finish

The Short Version: A real-pumpkin syrup made with pumpkin puree, ginger juice, cinnamon, and warm spices — pumpkin spice that actually tastes like pumpkin instead of abstract fall flavoring.

Ingredients: Filtered water, organic cane sugar, organic molasses, pumpkin puree, organic ginger juice, cinnamon, spices, natural flavors, ascorbic acid.

Perfect For: Pumpkin Spice loyalists, fall cocktail enthusiasts, home baristas tired of chain-coffee-shop versions, brunch hosts, baking enthusiasts, and anyone who genuinely loves pumpkin (not just the idea of it).

Best Enjoyed In: Pumpkin Spice Lattes (1 oz syrup + espresso + steamed milk), Pumpkin Spice White Russians, pumpkin spice old fashioneds, pumpkin spice cold brew, or stirred into hot apple cider for a mulled-cider variation.

The Portland Syrups Promise: Ethically sourced, carefully brewed, and bottled in glass jars right here in SE Portland, Oregon.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long does the syrup last after opening?
A: Our syrups are shelf-stable for 24 months unopened. Once opened, refrigerate and enjoy within 6 months.

Q: How does this compare to the most famous Pumpkin Spice Latte out there?
A: That other version, that launched the whole fall-coffee phenomenon, historically used a syrup with no actual pumpkin in it (real pumpkin wasn't added until 2015). Even today, the bulk of the flavor comes from natural and artificial flavorings plus a lot of sugar. Our Pumpkin Spice Syrup is built around real pumpkin puree, organic ginger juice, real cinnamon, and a careful blend of spices. We think ours tastes more like actual pumpkin pie rather than abstract "fall vibes."

Q: Can I use Pumpkin Spice syrup in baking?
A: Absolutely — and it's surprisingly versatile. Drizzle it over pancakes, French toast, or oatmeal for an instant fall breakfast. Stir it into pumpkin pie filling for extra spice depth. Add it to whipped cream for a topping that turns any dessert into a fall moment. Use it as part of a glaze for sweet potatoes, baked apples, or even pork tenderloin (the spice profile pairs beautifully with savory).

On a whim, I ordered syrups from this company. I’m so glad I did, their syrups are so good.
This one is my favorite! I can’t wait to try other flavors.

Pumpkin Spice syrup is not my favorite

I LOVE the caramel syrup so thought I’d give Pumpkin Spice a try. For some reason I didn’t like this as much. Maybe too much pumpkin, too little spice? I’m not sure.

Forget that other PSL

This is the best pumpkin spice for making lattes. You’ll never order one from Fivebucks again!

Authentic Flavor

I returned to Portland Syrup for Pumpkin Spuce and a variety of small bottles of various flavors for stocking stuffers. A big hit for the second year. Yum.

Pumpkin Spice

Syrup tastes good on its own but became quite bitter in coffee. Not what I’d hoped for.

More pumpkin flavor needed

I am enjoying the syrup but I would not call it pumpkin spice, it takes more like ginger. It’s delicious but not what I expected. I’ll would like to try another flavor :)

Delicious and natural!

Absolutely love these syrups in my morning coffee! The pumpkin spice is great this time of year. Not too sweet, and a little goes a long way! I usually only need around a tablespoon to get it just how I like it.

Great flavor

This has a wonderful flavor. Strong enough that I only need to use a little bit, so the bottle should last a while. Will definitely buy again. I also love that it’s a smaller company.

Adds warmth!

I like this in my coffee but I LOVE it in my tea. I've been adding half an ounce to Smith's Autumn Leaves and Masala Chai teas and it's so good. I'll need to buy another bottle for safekeeping.

Lacks flavor

Not as vibrant in flavor as some of the other flavors we enjoy for iced coffee drinks.

Not feeling it.

Was really hoping to like this. But it taste odd to me I don’t really taste pumpkin. Will give some of the other syrups a shot hopefully there better :/

Huge Portland fan, but this one didn't do it for me.

Big fan of the Portland syrups. I have their Brown Sugar on hand literally at all times. The flavor of the Pumpkin Spice just seems off to me.

Natural, Delicious, and Beautifully Packaged!

We are absolutely loving it! The ingredients are all natural, and the flavor is perfect, not too sweet at all. Plus, the packaging is beautiful and really adds to the experience. Highly recommend for anyone who loves quality syrup without the extra sugar and that fake industrial taste!

I love this syrup! I have been making pumpkin spice lattes at home and this finishes it off nicely, not to sweet but great flavor!

Real Pumpkin!

Actually tastes like pumpkin pie! Amazing. Probably the actual pumpkin in it, as most "PSL" flavors don't actually have pumpkin in them.

Pumpkin Yeah!

This syrup is perfect — spicy but not overly sweet! I taste the beautiful spices but mostly taste the coffee, which is the goal!

Winner!

Definitely a winner. Not sugary at all. Great fall flavor. Under notes of clove add complexity.

C
Candi

Love this pumpkin flavored syrup! It’s been hard to find a pumpkin syrup/flavoring that isn’t mostly cinnamon flavored.

Great for coffee

This is first time I bought from Portland Syrups. Happy with my purchase, its a great addition to my PS latte and has better ingredients than typical grocery store syrups. I like the bottle design too.
