Chai on Ice

To soda or not to soda, that's the question when trying this iced beverage featuring our Bright Chai Syrup. Chai, or in particular Masala Chai, is a generic term for a mixture of black tea with aromatic spices and comes in vast variety of flavor profiles. Ours is lighter on the winter warming spices so tends to prefer to be in iced drinks. Whether you mix this recipe with plain water or sparkling water is up to the taste buds of the particular pallet. It works wonderfully either way!

|  1.5 oz Bright Chai Syrup
|  6 oz water or sparkling water
|  Splash Half 'n Half or Sweetened Condensed Milk

|  Pour syrup over ice in tall glass
|  Top with water or sparkling water to taste
|  Add splash of milk or milk-substitute if desired.  **Sweetened Condensed Milk is very strong so use sparingly.**

Portland Syrup brews exquisitely flavored lower-sugar mixers using whole botanical ingredients. Each 12 oz. bottle makes 12-24 cocktails, or nearly one gallon of finished, full-strength soda

Bright Chai Syrup Ingredients: water, orange pekoe black tea, ginger, cardamom, allspice, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, cane sugar, ascorbic acid (vitamin C).
