Marionberry Balsamic Caprese
A late-summer caprese with an extra layer: balsamic glaze mixed with Marionberry Syrup for a berry-sweet drizzle that plays off the tomatoes. Use the ripest heirlooms you can find.

Ingredients
- 2 large heirloom tomatoes
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella
- Handful of fresh basil
- Salt and pepper
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- ½ tbsp balsamic glaze
- 1 tbsp Marionberry Syrup
Instructions
- Whisk the balsamic glaze and Marionberry Syrup together in a small bowl.
- Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella into even ¼-inch rounds and layer them alternately on a plate.
- Drizzle with the marionberry-balsamic glaze and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper and finish with basil.
