Rose Sculpture Cocktail

A tiki-style showpiece that earns its garnish. Rose Cordial Syrup, Armagnac, white rum, blueberry cordial, and Meyer lemon — floral, fruity, layered, and finished with a lavender stick and a lemon twist trapped in crushed ice. Created by Manni Sobalverro at Dear Irving, NYC.

Ingredients

  • ½ oz VSOP Bas Armagnac
  • ½ oz Hawaiian white rum
  • ½ oz Curaçao or triple sec
  • ½ oz Solbeso Ecuador (cacao spirit)
  • ½ oz Rose Cordial Syrup
  • ½ oz blueberry cordial
  • ½ oz fresh Meyer lemon juice
  • Crushed ice, to fill
  • 1 lemon twist, for garnish
  • 1 lavender stick, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Whip-shake all the ingredients with a small amount of ice.
  2. Strain into a chilled tiki glass filled with crushed ice.
  3. Use the end of a lavender stick to embed a lemon twist around the inside of the glass, letting the twist peek out the top.
  4. Place the lavender stick next to the twist and pile crushed ice on top.
