I like the pour spout. I’ve been using it for the cola. I’m not sure it would work for the root beer because it is much thicker than the cola.
There is a learning curve in using it. Keep the air opening facing up when you pour. And after you pour gently tap the bottle on the counter and give the syrup a moment to drip back down before putting the cap back on. Otherwise the syrup may decide to ooze up through the air opening after you have poured. I think this eliminates any air bubbles and pressure that might build with the cap on that caused the cola to ooze out the first time I used it.
I’m happy with it. Gave four stars because there were no instructions with it and I had a bit of waste from the oozing on first use. Love the cola syrup and hate wasting any. 🙂
