Ube Café Latte

A bold iced latte topped with a luscious, purple ube cold foam — simple, beautiful, and dangerously drinkable.

PREP: 4 MIN // YIELD: 1 SERVING

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 espresso shots (or ¼ cup strong brewed coffee)
  • 7 oz cold milk of choice
  • 1 cups ice
  • 1 oz Ube Syrup

STEPS

1. Make the ube cold foam: Pour 3 oz milk into a frother or tall jar. Add 1 oz ube syrup and froth until thick, creamy, and spoonable — the foam should be a soft lavender-purple and hold its shape. Set aside.

2. Mix the coffee milk: Combine with 4 oz cold milk of choice with 2 espresso shots (or ¼ cup strong brewed coffee) and stir to mix.

3. Build the glass: Fill a glass with 1 cup of ice. Pour the coffee milk mixture over the ice.

4. Top with ube cold foam: Spoon or slowly pour the ube cold foam over the top of the iced coffee.

TIPS

**Coffee tip:** Espresso gives the boldest flavor and the most contrast against the sweet ube foam. If using strong brewed coffee, let it cool to room temperature first so it doesn't melt your ice too quickly.

**Make it stronger:** For an extra caffeine kick, freeze leftover coffee into ice cubes and use those instead of regular ice — no dilution, all the flavor.
