Hibiscus Cardamom Sour: Floral, Spiced, A Little Tart

A Pisco sour by way of Portland. Our Hibiscus Cardamom Syrup gives this classic cocktail depth and color. Don’t be afraid of the egg — it makes for a smooth, silky texture you can’t get any other way.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Pisco
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1½ oz Hibiscus Cardamom Syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 dashes Scrappy’s Cardamom Bitters
  • 3 dashes Scrappy’s Aromatic Bitters

Instructions

  1. Combine the Pisco, lime juice, Hibiscus Cardamom Syrup, and egg white in a shaker without ice. Dry-shake hard for 15 seconds to build the foam.
  2. Add ice and shake hard for another 15 seconds.
  3. Double-strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. Float the bitters over the top in a decorative pattern and serve.
